Lab 2 : Unappealing Website

Hi, today we will continue with another task which is appealing and unappealing website. The example of unappealing website is  http://www.davesems.com/

In my opinion, the website is unappealing  because of its' poor interface design, poor link and disorganized content.

1. Poor Interface - have poor choice of font typeface as well as sizing. Making the font size too small will make it harder for some people to read the text, so the font size you use must be a balance between large and small. Beside that, the website have a busy, distracting backgrounds that make the text hard to read. The header contain meaningless and useless graphics make its slow to load.
2. Poor Link - Links that are not clear about where they will take you.
3. Disorganized Content- all content in one page. the website should separate the content depends on their categories, so this will make easy for user to find what they want. Example, 'about us' is a story  behind the company and its' background, contact us is page that provide user that come with inquiries or feedback.

There  are several things that can be done to improve the website appearance such as create menu navigator for each category. The website should remove the animation on its header and replace it with another banner that can attract user's eyes. Using a static image will help page to load faster. Beside that, the website should use a standard font type and size to create nice appearance. 

It is hard for me to encourage other user to surf this website as it is not a user friendly. It should has Share Application such as Facebook, Twitter or email to promote it easily.
